Reviews the Client technical documentation and all relevant legislation, standards and codes requirements.
Provision of the engineering manhours estimation and monitoring for the piping stress activities.
Defines the Piping stress list of deliverables, time schedule and controls Piping stress activities in accordance with
project requirements.
Issues project Pipe stress analysis design criteria, Pipe stress critical line list and other deliverables during the
basic design phase, and perform preliminary stress analysis of the Piping systems.
Takes the Package Engineer role for piping stress items and/or services (such as spring supports, expansion joints,
vibrations studies, etc.)
Guide subordinate to prepare preliminary & Detailed MTO for Bidding, FEED, and Detailed Engineering Phases of
the project with the available minimum documents.
Prepare Special Items list, Special Items Datasheets, and quantify the MTO and check after completion.
Prepare Valve List, SP Item list, Valve Datasheets, and quantify the MTO & RFQ.
Prepare and check Quantified Bulk Piping Material MTO from documents for preliminary stage / get input from
PDMS during detailed design stage of project.
Prepare & Check TBE of Special Items, Valves, and Bulk Piping Materials.
Check IDC of drawing & documents of other discipline vendor packages.
Responsible to maintain register for SP Items List and Valves with latest revision of vendor drawings available.
Coordinating with other engineering and design discipline team members including Site Survey.
Communicating change orders and executing change management processes.
Provides technical support to project group.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering Degree
3+ years progressive experience in piping stress analysis within the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience with detailed design project (EPC) execution.
Experience using a pipe stress analysis program like Caesar II software is preferable.
Detailed knowledge of piping and pipe supports, both design and calculation.
Fluent in spoken and written English
Working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and standards, including but not limited to ASME, and API.
