Notification of Staying in the Kingdom Over 90 Days
(90 Days Notification)
Foreigners who have been granted temporary stay in the Kingdom and stay over 90 days are required to report their residence to the Immigration Office every 90 days. If there is an immigration office in the area, the foreigner can report there. This is in accordance with Section 37(5) of the Immigration Act, B.E. 2522.
Notification Methods:
- The foreigner reports in person.
- The foreigner assigns someone to report on their behalf.
- The foreigner may send a registered letter.
- The foreigner reports through the online system.
Note: **Foreigners cannot report their 90-day notification online in the following cases:
- First-time reporting.
- Changing to a new passport.
In such cases, the foreigner must report to the immigration officer in their residential area either in person or by assigning someone to report on their behalf. Afterward, they can report the 90-day notification online for the subsequent appointments.
Places to Report:
- For those residing in Bangkok, report in person or assign someone to report on their behalf at the Residence Notification Section, Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2007, Building B (2nd Floor, South Wing), Chaengwattana Road, Thung Song Hong Sub-district, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
- Visa and Work Permit Service Center, Division 3, Immigration Bureau 1, Chamchuri Square Building, 18th Floor, Pathumwan District, Bangkok, for foreigners working in entities with a registered capital of not less than 30 million baht.
- Service Center for Myanmar, Lao, and Cambodian Migrant Workers in Bangkok for migrant workers from Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia residing in Bangkok.
- For other provinces, report at any immigration checkpoint in the area where the foreigner resides.
Required Documents:
- Passport
- Departure Card (TM.6)
- Previous 90-Day Notification Receipt (if previously reported)
- Completed TM.47 form with signature.
Note: **Foreigners can report their residence up to 15 days before or within 7 days after the due date. If the report is overdue, the foreigner must report in person and pay a fine.
- If overdue, the fine is 2,000 Baht.
- If arrested for any reason, the fine is 5,000 Baht.
- If the foreigner leaves the country before the next due date, they must report their residence again 90 days after re-entering the Kingdom.
