Notification of Residence for Foreigners (TM30)
Notification of residence for foreigners, according to the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), Section 38, stipulates that “House owners, landlords, house occupants, or hotel managers who receive foreigners permitted to stay temporarily in the Kingdom must notify the competent official at the Immigration Office in the area where the house, residence, or hotel is located within 24 hours from the time the foreigner arrives. If there is no Immigration Office in that area, the notification must be made to the local police station. In cases where the house, residence, or hotel is located in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, the notification must be made to the officials at the Immigration Division. Notifications under the first and second paragraphs must be in accordance with the regulations set by the Director-General.”
Landlords or operators are required to submit Form TM.30 and can proceed with the notification as follows:
- Submit the documents in person or assign someone to submit them at the residence notification service counter (TM.30)

- Notification by registered mail
– Complete the notification form and sign it.
– Prepare a 6.5 x 9-inch envelope with a 10 baht stamp, addressed to yourself, to receive the notification receipt from the officials.
– Place documents from steps 1–2 in a registered mail envelope (keep the registration slip as proof) and send it to:

– Register to use the online residence notification service at www.immigration.go.th.
– Once the officials review and approve, they will send the username and password for the system access to the registered email.
